Where to go in Helsinki

This page contains some leads to the lesbian scene in Helsinki. If you need specific, or up to date info, please contact us.

DTM www.dtm.fi
Gay Cafeteria, Bar, Disco and Night Club is located on Iso Roobertinkatu 28. It's very close to the center of the city (a 10-minute walk) but you can also take a tram to get there. The nearest stop for line 10 is Kolmikulma (Erottajankatu) and for lines 3B/3T it is Iso Roobertinkatu.

Hehku: http://www.heseta.fi/hehku/
Ladies' Night Club every saturday night from 9 P.M. to 2 A.M in DTM (see above).

Mummolaakso dances (benefit dances for Mummolaakso, an elderly lesbians' project). For more information, e-mail mummolaakso@sappho.net.

Nalle Pub, the really rather mixed, formerly lesbian bar. Kaarlenkatu 3-5 (in Kallio)

Lost&Found, the 'in' bar for everyone. Annankatu 6.

The women's organisation Unioni has a book cafe at Bulevardi 11, recommended for those seeking more feminist places to visit. (There is no women's bookshop in Helsinki.)

We also recommend Yrjönkatu Baths ( September-May) and the Seurasaari women only nude beach (in summer).
