Come and sing along Finnish and international evergreens. Pirjo and Tuula accompany on guitar all-time favourite folk songs, schlagers and pop tunes with lyrics in Finnish, English and Swedish. The evening continues with dancing. Organized jointly with Mummolaakso ry. Admission 35,- (members of Mummolaakso and Rivinväli 25,-)

Drag King Workshop

Practice your manly self with ambition or for fun. You can also put the finishing touches to your image for Wednesday's drag king competition. Sonja Ahlfors and Marika Salomaa familiarize you with tricks on masculine insignia, gestures, movements and other means of gendered performance. 10 participants. 100,- (members of Rivinväli 75,-) Organized jointly with OHO/OLE.

Dyking in Style - A Fashion Show + Handicraft Market

Lesbian fashion, styles, and stereotypes on catwalk. Directed by Lara Luosujärvi. The show starts at 9 pm.
At the handicraft market tribadic customers can take a look at handmade arts and crafts and other products by professionals as well as amateurs, and hear about les-bi-trans friendly services. Admission 10,-

Monday 3rd - Friday 7th 4.30 - 8.30 pm + independent work
Video Workshop
of Helsinki/ Christina Institute, Unioninkatu 38 E 2nd floor + Heijastus ky

An intensive course in working with video, from script to completed product. Monday: theoretical introduction into planning and camera technique; Tuesday-Thursday: independent film project; Friday: digital editing in the studio of Heijastus ky; Saturday: presentation of the completed video. Notes on theory and technique will be sent in advance to the participants and must be studied before the first meeting. Led by Liisa Karvonen and Annukka Leppänen. 7 participants. 180,- (Members of Rivinväli 130,-)

Poems on women and on lesbianism by professional writers and amateurs. Poet Mirkka Rekola and recitation artist Kati Mehto perform. On the programme is also a retrospective of lesbian poems published in lesbian and gay magazines and anthologies. Refreshments. Admission free.

Drag King Competition + Handicraft Market, continuation

Artistic and entertaining performances of masculinity on DTM Stage. Come to admire the charismatic poses of drag men, and to cheer on your favourite. A panel of experts will choose the winner. DJ Miss E. On the stand also Straight No More and Hank's Band featuring Konehuone.

Evening of Videos + Dyke Drama

A series of Finnish short videos on screen, including productions by students of media art.
The Dyke Drama group originates from last year's tribadic drama workshop, and now they are putting up a show called "Pirkko ". Director: Liisa Hirvonen. Admission free.

Open seminar on lesbian, bisexual and transcultural themes by readers representing various areas of cultural studies or art. Presentations include Anna-Mari Vänskä (visual images), Ilona Virtanen (film/television), Kati Mustola, Tuuve Aro (literature), Annika Tuder (dance), Marjaana Kurkinen (theatre), Minna Uimonen (drag). Informative and entertaining survey of lesBic literature and literary history from a Finnish angle. Discussion on textual lesBians, lesbians and bisexual women as writers and as readers. Hints for buying and collecting books. Introduced titles are auctioned off, others are sold on a flea market for bookworms for reasonable prices. Refreshments. Organized jointly with Lukukeskus ry.
